Black Excellence: Jayla Jackson

Jayla Jackson is an Atlanta-based producer and activist whose impressive journey began in 2021. She gained national recognition as one-half of the first Black girl duo to win Harvard’s International Debate Competition, making history twice as the youngest Black female to achieve this feat. In honor of her accomplishments, Fulton County, Georgia, designated Jayla Jackson and Emani Stanton: Atlanta Great Debaters’ Day in her name. She was also named one of Teen Vogue’s Top 21 Under 21 that same year.
