Director of Advocacy
Venita Doggett is an alumna of the University of Memphis, holding a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and a Master’s in Public Administration. A native Memphian, Venita has spent most of her career in the space of Memphis government and education politics – having served in legislative capacities at the City of Memphis and Memphis and Shelby County Schools and as Director of Development for the University of Memphis College of Education. As Director of Advocacy, she spearheads MEF’s advocacy partner portfolio and advises on strategy based on her institutional knowledge of Memphis’ complex political landscape.
